Recommended SEO Tools
Screaming Frog SEO Spider – better than XENU; provides more data about each page after each crawl. Some of those include status code, description, length of title and description, canonical URL, headings and inlinks data (paid)
Link Building Analysis Tools
Open Site Explorer – look at your own link profile or dive deep and analyze your competitors. Get link metrics like domain authority, external / internal links, anchor text and and more (paid – $99 per month for Moz’s full suite of tools)
Recommended Local SEO Tools
Whitespark Local Citation Finder – analyzes and pulls citation data for any given local search term or phone number. This tool is perfect for discovering new citation opportunities (paid – starting at $20 per month)
Geo sitemap and KML Generator – automatically creates a geo sitemap and KML file that you can upload to your root directory of your site (free)
Schema Creator – microdata creator tool, used to help you mark up your location information on your website (free)
hCard Creator – microformats creator tool, used to help you mark up your location information on your website (similar to Schema Creator, but different type of mark up) (free)
